Life is experiences, one must breathe— Dave Rochlen
Welcome — Hola, Bonjour, Ciao! I'm Joe Barker, and this is the story of a life spent chasing experience. My love of people, travel, motorsports, language, and culture has taken me to every corner of the globe.
I had the privilege of living and working in France with KTM Racing, chasing victory at the Paris-Dakar Rally — the toughest motorized race on the planet — from Europe through Morocco, Mauritania, Mali, and Guinea to the shores of Lake Rose in Senegal. Chris Blais placed 4th overall in 2006 and followed with a podium in 2007.
My family and I spent five winters living in Mexico, immersed in the language, culture, and warmth of the people. From the Copper Canyon to the Pacific coast — Mexico gave us gifts we carry forever. These days, Kathy and I are happily settled in the red-rock country of St. George, Utah.
